The statement that muscles are always distal to the part of the body being moved is not accurate, which is why the correct answer is false. In human anatomy, the term "distal" refers to a location that is farther away from the center of the body or the point of attachment. Conversely, "proximal" refers to a location that is closer to the body’s center or the point of attachment.

Muscles can be located both proximal and distal to the parts they move, depending on the specific movement and the body region being discussed. For example, a muscle that originates near the shoulder (a proximal location) can act on the forearm (a distal location). Similarly, when considering movements such as flexing the elbow, the biceps muscle is proximal to the forearm but its contraction causes movement at the distal joint of the elbow.

The relationship between muscles and the parts of the body they move is complex and governed by the specific anatomical context and movement involved, making it clear that muscles are not always distal. Understanding these anatomical relationships is essential in chiropractic practice to comprehend how movements occur and how to address issues related to muscle function and overall biomechanics.
